Pros:

Cons:

  • Weight distributed to only one shoulder – not as comfortable for a heavier baby/toddler
  • Accurate size is important – can be difficult to determine correct size
  • Parents/caregivers can’t share pouch if they are different sizes

Pros:

  • Excellent for discreet nursing and quick adjustment
  • Versatile – can be used for newborn carry, upright carry, hip carry – good with toddlers

Cons:

  • Weight distributed to only one shoulder – not as comfortable for a heavier baby/toddler
  • Some learning curve, must get used to adjusting fabric through the rings

  • Can pre-tie and pop baby in and out for quick errands

Cons:

  • Some learning curve, especially for back carries
  • Long piece of fabric can be intimidating and bulky to store (Exception: rebozos, which are short wraps, fold up very small.)
