What Happens at a Meeting?

Our meetings are very informal. We introduce ourselves, briefly discuss a babywearing-related topic, and ask anyone who is new to the meeting what they hope to learn.

Following our discussion, our seasoned babywearing veterans assist those with questions or concerns and provide hands-on assistance. We have a library of carriers available for anyone to try on during the meeting, and they are also available for loan (with a check deposit). Many regular members also bring their own carriers for others to try.

Our Saturday meetings are held in a large room with plenty of toys and space for toddlers and older children to play.

Pittsburgh Babywearers also offers a Carrier Lending Library. Numerous styles and brands of carriers are available to borrow from the library. If you plan to borrow a carrier from the library, a CHECK for the value of the carrier is required as a deposit, and will be returned to you when you return the carrier. In addition an optional $5 donation is appreciated to help keep our library current.

If you have any questions, please join our Yahoo group and post them there.
